What is Everlinger?
Here at Everlinger we place you and your loved ones into different storytelling universes. We use the latest in secure image generation to place you there. Currently in Books you can put someone into a storybook that is then printed and shipped to you. Alternatively you can have some fun in Playground where you type in prompts and generate imagery from whichever world you want to place someone into.
How do I get started?
You're free to see other people's imagery and examples of books, but you can't personalise anything until you create an account and train a Character. Instructions on how to do so can be found here. At a high level, first you train a Character of someone you want to place in another world, and then you can place that Character in either a real book or into whichever fantasy universe you please to then download as a digital image.
Why do you need my name and email to create an account?
We will use emails to contact you when you train your Character, so it's important you can access that inbox. We ask for your name so we can be polite in the email.
How does it work?
Everlinger uses the latest in secure text-to-image generation to place you into storytelling universes. We then marry this powerful imagery with wonderful stories written by human authors.
Who is behind it?
Everlinger was founded by two friends and dads: Rich and Kristian. We saw an opportunity to make the immense power of text-to-image generation more accessible to the general public. As dads to young children, we are forever reading stories to them, so we thought that this would be a good place to start.
Character
What's a Character and what can I do with it?
A Character is the foundation of Everlinger - you can't do anything without it. Think of it like a virtual avatar of someone based on how they look in real life - that we then use to place them into fictional books or images in the Playground.
In order to train a Character you must first create an account. Once you've done that, you upload pictures of the person you're training and we train the Character.
Your Character is trained in roughly 15 minutes. We'll email you once it's ready. From that point you can place that Character in a book or in imaginative imagery using the Playground.
This is crucial. Everlinger is incredibly impressive but relies on you providing a minimum of images, that faithfully represents what that person looks like; with varied backgrounds and expressions. If you don't do this, the result won't be as accurate, the person won't be as recognisable and we'd recommend you retrain with better imagery. When you create a Character we step you through examples.
Our bespoke secure technology means we can create imagery that makes you look twice - it's that impressive. However this does depend on the images you provide to train the Character.
You can train as many Characters as you like. You just need their permission to do so. Train one of your son. Your daughter. Your close friend. Yourself! You can then use this trained Character to place them in either printed storybooks or fantasy universes that you can download as images.

Creation
How can I put a Character into a book, print it and receive it?
It's pretty simple. First you create an account and train the Character you want to be in the book, as per this guide. You then choose which of our pre-written books you want to put that Character in. Finally press personalise to see your Character on screen placed in the images in that book. If you love it, you can then buy it.
There are currently 5 stories you can choose from. But we intend to write more and more as we go. If you want to hear from us when there are new stories or products, please join our mailing list here.
You certainly can! Choose a book here, follow the steps and you'll see the book laid out with your character within it. All before you buy.
Currently you can only have one character per book. But you will soon be able to have multiple characters in one book, so the whole family can go on adventures together.
In a word: yes. We expect, hope and trust that people who use Everlinger do so in good faith to surprise and delight someone. Ultimately you can upload photos of anyone you choose, but in doing so you have to accept our policies here.
It depends on which delivery option you choose. In broad terms it's between 7 and 21 business days. See the shipping policy here.
No. Once you create your book it is sent to print and delivered to the delivery address. It is not published anywhere for others to see.
The technology we are using is cutting edge and therefore can sometimes create unexpected imagery. It gets better and better every day though. For that reason, we let you see the book personalised before you buy it. If you aren't happy with one or more images you are free to personalise another one but may be asked to buy credits to do so.
You can't currently see the books you've created unless you went ahead and bought them.
We want our stories to be enjoyed by people of all ages. However the nature of the books tends to have most traction with kids ages 3-10, and each book hits a small range within it for flexibility. For instance some have more words and act as chapter books for older kids to read themselves, whilst others are more likely read by their parents to younger kids who might focus on the visuals and intonation. Our professional authors have also used the latest in educational and literacy best practice.
Not currently. It's something we're thinking about though.
Not currently, no. At the moment we are trying to retain a sense of tradition and tactility with children that avoids using the screen. But, as parents we also understand the convenience of digital files so won't rule it out.
Once you've ordered I'm afraid you can't change the delivery process.
Playground
How do I create fantastical imagery featuring people I know?
The Playground is a place where you can generate an image of your Character that you like; the only limit is your imagination. You simply train a Character here and then type what you want them to be, or do and as your 'prompt'.
An image prompt is a text description intended to guide Everlinger in creating a visual output. The description can range from a simple word or phrase to a detailed narrative, including elements like composition, color palette, and mood.
If your Character is already trained (i.e. you can see the headshot on your logged in Playground page), then it will take about 30 seconds to produce an image after you've entered the prompt and pressed Generate.
For every prompt you Generate, Everlinger produces 4 images of it. That way you have lots of options to have fun with.
Absolutely. Just click the download button at the top right of any of your images.
For sure. They are yours to enjoy.
Yes it does. At its heart, Everlinger is about bringing people you know to life in unexpected ways. Click on the Character you've trained and start entering some prompts e.g. <Character> riding a unicorn, full of joy, dark thunderstorm, 50mm lens
Yes. Often it's easier to browse for an idea or look and copy it, rather than try and imagine something and describe it. For that reason, we've created a bunch of images in the Inspiration Gallery that you can click on to copy their prompt into your own field.
No. They will only be viewable within your Gallery, which you can only access when you're logged in. If that's what you want, you can download any of your images and post them to your socials.
Not yet. At the moment the technology can't handle it. We're working on it though.
Yes you can. Just include whatever you want in the prompt field. and we will do our best to bring it to life.
Yes you can. The images you create are yours to keep and use as you see fit. Please refer to this policy for more detail.
Safety & Privacy
Everlinger is a space in which to have imaginative and safe fun. As a result Safety & Privacy are of utmost importance to us.
We recognise that the security of images is paramount to people who use everlinger. That's why the images are locked behind X security, used by NASA. Images are stored ABC.
In Playground you're welcome to write whatever you want, but it needs to be SFW as per our policy here. Here at everlinger we don't condone creating inappropriate imagery, and if our systems alert us to this we will consider deleting that account.
You can delete an image by clicking in the X next to it. You can delete a character using the button underneath its headshot. Bear in mind that once either is deleted, you can't retrieve them so will have to recreate them.

Like social media platforms, we can't control who you upload photos or train characters of. All we can hope and ask for is that the person you're training is someone known to you who would give consent beforehand.
Troubleshooting
Something's bothering you. How can we help?
You're welcome to browse the site and see how people have used Everlinger. But to create a personalised Book or use the Playground, you need to train a Character and thus, create an account. To create an account, try to do something and you will be prompted to create one.
You can always look at images you've made in the Playground from within your Gallery once you've logged in.
You may not have uploaded the correct amount of photos. We need a minimum of 5 images to create recognisable imagery. You may have also tried to upload a file format we can't accept.
Our ambition at Everlinger is to place you and your loved ones in storytelling universes and that you recognise them there. We want the imagery to be recognisable, even if it isn't always realistic due to your wild imaginations. If their image isn't recognisable, it's probably because you haven't given us sufficiently good training images from which to train your character. Please follow the guidance for best practice when you upload photos for the new Character.
If you're sure you entered in the email correctly, please check your junk and spam folders. If you still can't find it, please try creating an account again with that email. If that still doesn't work, please email hello@everlinger.com.

Sorry to hear that. If you're unhappy with the quality of the book itself (as opposed the the imagery created that you approved before you bought it), please email photos of what has disappointed you to hello@everlinger.com. Bear in mind we can't accept returns as per our Policy.
When you bought the book we would have given you guidance on delivery times based on the option you selected. Our books are almost always printed and delivered within a 2-3 week period. If it hasn't arrived within the period you chose, please contact us at support@everlinger.com.
Absolutely. We use the world's biggest and safest online payment provider, Stripe.
